Tata Motors has released multiple teaser images of the Altroz Racer hatchback, revealing its interior and exterior details. The company has now announced that the sporty premium hatchback will be launched in the Indian market on June 7, 2024. Interested buyers can book the new Tata Altroz Racer online or at authorised dealerships.
The Tata Altroz Racer hatchback comes with unique exterior styling elements, a different & more feature-loaded interior, and a more powerful turbo petrol engine. The sportier hatchback is expected to be offered in 3 variants - R1, R2 and R3.

Even the base Altroz Racer R1 variant is heavily loaded with features. It comes with many features over the Altroz XZ+ top-spec trim. The base model is equipped with 6 airbags, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with smartphone connectivity and a sportier exhaust. However, it has a 4-inch semi-analogue instrument console.
The mid-spec Tata Altroz Racer R2 variant comes fitted with a 7-inch digital instrument console, a factory-fitted electric sunroof, a wireless phone charging, a 360-degree surround view camera and blind spot monitor. The top-spec R3 variant has all the features that are accessible in lower trims. Additionally, it has Tata's connected car tech, an air purifier and ventilated front seats.
The new Tata Altroz Racer will be powered by a new 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine. This engine churns out a maximum power output of 118bhp and a peak torque of 170Nm. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox.
