Tata Aeris Revealed With New Headlamps, Tail Lamps and Alloy Wheels
Tata Aeris will be launched in India on September 25. The new sedan gets sharper LED lighting and U-shaped alloy wheels. Petrol, CNG and electric versions are expected to continue.
Tata Motors has released another teaser of the upcoming Aeris ahead of its launch on September 25. The latest video gives a closer look at the production-spec exterior, revealing new headlamps, revised LED tail lamps, fresh alloy wheels and Aeris badging. The Aeris will mark the next update to Tata Motors’ compact sedan line. Petrol, CNG and electric versions are expected to continue as part of the range.
New Headlamps and Front Design
The latest teaser shows slimmer headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights. This is a major change compared to the larger headlamp units on the current Tigor. Earlier teasers had already revealed a redesigned front end with a larger lower intake and revised bumper. Together, these changes give the sedan a more updated look.

Revised Rear Design
The rear section also gets several changes. The new Aeris lettering is spread across the tailgate, while the LED tail lamps get a sharper internal design. The boot lid and rear bumper are also expected to receive updates. The latest teaser further reveals new U-shaped alloy wheels, which are likely to be offered on the higher variants.
Cabin Could Get a Major Update
Tata is also expected to make bigger changes inside the cabin. The Aeris could get a redesigned dashboard with a larger touchscreen infotainment system and an updated digital instrument display. Other expected changes include a new steering wheel, revised centre-console layout and additional features borrowed from Tata’s newer models.
Petrol Engine Likely to Continue
The petrol version of the Aeris is expected to retain Tata’s 1.2-litre three-cylinder Revotron engine. The current engine produces around 86 PS and 113 Nm. It is currently offered with a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox. A factory-fitted CNG version is also expected to remain part of the lineup, with no major engine changes indicated so far.
Electric Version Could Get a Bigger Battery
An electric version of the Aeris is also expected to be part of the range. The current Tigor EV uses a 26 kWh battery pack paired with a 55 kW electric motor producing 170 Nm. Depending on the final specifications, the updated electric sedan could get a larger battery pack and a longer driving range. The current Tigor EV has a claimed range of up to 315 km, depending on the version.
Tata Aeris Launch on September 25
Tata Motors is expected to reveal more details about the Aeris at its launch on September 25. The new teasers confirm that the sedan will get a noticeably updated exterior, while the cabin is also expected to receive several changes.
