The Tata Curvv has become an exciting option in the competitive compact SUV market. It comes equipped with a host of features that set it apart from some of the other popular models, including the Hyundai Creta and the Kia Seltos. This article talks about features of the Tata Curvv and what gives it an edge over its nearest competition.
Such an eye-catching feature in the Tata Curvv is the Power Tailgate opening by Gesture Control. Equipped with this innovative feature, one is allowed to open and close the tailgate of your car with a simple foot gesture. Therefore, it is hands-free when one carries or loads stuff into the vehicle. In comparison, the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos provide the same feature of power tailgates but without gesture controls, hence limiting ease of access in similar situations.
The sunroof with natural light control in the Tata Curvv makes for real luxury while driving. In comparison, the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos come fitted with an infotainment unit of 10.25 inches, although very advanced, it does not provide the size and legibility that the Curvv provides.
Comfort gets a jumbo role in the Tata Curvv, reflected through the electrically adjustable seats for both the driver and the co-driver. The fact that the adjustments can be electrically performed promotes accuracy, thereby greatly impacting comfort for all the long drives. The Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos get electric adjustments for the driver's seat but do not extend the same feature to the co-driver's seat, which means such a system is going to be limited in these models.
The Tata Curvv offers a sufficiently large 500-litres boot space, which in turn provides more cargo capacity than the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos, both of which have a boot space of 433-litres. This extra space will prove a boon for extended families and travellers with large suitcases, making the Curvv much better in terms of practicality in storage.
Advanced driver assistance systems on Level 2 ADAS equip the Tata Curvv with added safety features such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and automatic emergency braking. While the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos come packed with a good number of safety features, the Level 2 ADAS in the Tata Curvv is far more advanced and provides much better driver support and safety features.
The Tata Curvv rides on 18-inch alloy wheels to be more imposing in terms of road presence and handling. It is compared with Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos, which come with 17-inch alloy wheels. Not only do the larger wheels on the Curvv enhance the aesthetics of the vehicle, but they also perform and improve the driving dynamics.
The Tata Curvv comes with a variety of engine options, from an electric vehicle to petrol and diesel. The diesel engine mated to the dual-clutch automatic gearbox can offer smooth and responsive power. However, the Korean companies Hyundai and Kia offer naturally aspirated petrol, turbo petrol, and diesel engines on their Creta and Seltos, respectively. These two products have diesel engines mated along with a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission. The DCA transmission in the Curvv makes for much more evolved urban driving.
From advanced features to big boot space and the latest in safety technologies, Tata Curvv has become a great option. Some of the features that make this car stand apart from the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos, which are otherwise solid in their features but simply do not come near the Curvv in terms of being innovative and luxurious. It is, however, equipped with bigger wheels, an infotainment system, and the availability of a wide variety of engine options, making it really promising in the compact SUV segment. If you want to make a statement regarding modernity, practicality, and adoption of advanced features, the Tata Curvv is placed right at the top in the category.
