The long-awaited Tata Curvv Coupe SUV was supposed to be launched in the first half of 2024. However, recent media reports claim that the launch has been pushed to the festive season - more probably in September 2024. The electric version of the Curvv will come first, followed by the petrol and diesel models.
Sources tell that petrol and diesel variants of the upcoming Curvv are expected to go into production around September this year. Hence, the market launch will most likely happen in the last quarter of this year or early 2025.
The reason for this delay is the ongoing general election in the country which could have led to a dip in sales.
Under the hood, Tata Curvv will be powered by a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, producing 123 bhp. This engine would be offered with manual and automatic transmission. As for the diesel variant, the model can use the Nexon's 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder engine. Meanwhile, the electric variant will be based on Tata's Gen 2 acti.ev architecture, expected to offer a range of 450-500 km.
