For those specifically looking for a road validity of 15 years (in NCR) and a smooth engine, the Nexon petrol makes the most sense. It has a good amount of power and comes with 4 transmission options - 5MT, 6MT, 6AMT and 7DCT. However, if mileage is a concern, consider buying the Nexon CNG with up to 24 kmkg.
The Nexon diesel is still a great choice for highway runs and runs easy on the pocket. For your reference, the petrol and diesel top models cost the same at Rs 15.49 lakh, ex-showroom. Even the power and torque are sufficient with an impressive mileage of 23 kmpl.
Last but not least, the Nexon EV has become more desirable with the recent addition of a larger 45kWh battery pack. It has an MIDC range of 489 km, while we believe the real-world range should vary between 380 km to 400 km. Before buying, do note that the upfront cost of the electric vehicle is high and charging infrastructure is still developing.
