Tata Sierra SUV spotted testing again ahead of its India launch later this year Will be offered in both electric and turbo-petrol versions Latest test mule shows alloy wheels, ADAS sensors, and 360-degree cameras
The new Tata Sierra, expected to be launched later this year, has been spotted testing on Indian roads once again. The latest test mule gives us more clues about the final production model, even though it remains heavily camouflaged.

Though the Sierra is a compact SUV measuring around 4.3 metres in length, it appears much larger when seen next to cars like the Maruti Suzuki Baleno. This is mainly due to its upright stance and SUV proportions. Its boxy shape and tall design suggest that Tata is focusing on maximising cabin space, which should translate to better headroom and boot space for passengers.
Unlike earlier sightings of base-spec variants with steel wheels, the latest prototype is equipped with alloy wheels, indicating it could be a higher variant. Other noticeable features include a shark-fin antenna, a kinked rear window, and what appears to be a 360-degree camera system fitted into the ORVMs. There's also evidence of ADAS sensors on the front, hinting at advanced safety tech being offered with the new Sierra.
The new Sierra will be available in both electric and petrol versions. Tata Motors plans to launch the electric variant first, which is expected to enter the market soon. The petrol version is likely to follow later with Tata’s new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, the same one that will also power future models of the Harrier and Safari.
