Tata Tiago & Tiago EV Facelift Coming Soon - Updates Inside and Out

Tata Tiago and Tiago EV get new headlamps, bumpers and wheels Interior updates include LCD cluster, touchscreen, rear AC vents Tiago EV may get 30 kWh battery for 325 km range

Tata Tiago, India’s popular city car, is preparing for another update. Introduced in 2016 and refreshed twice before, the Tiago ICE and Tiago EV are now showing their age. Tata Motors is working on a new facelift with road-testing already underway, and the launch is expected in May 2026.

Exterior Updates Bring a Fresh Look

The facelifted Tiago and Tiago EV will likely feature redesigned headlamps, a new radiator grille, and restyled bumpers. The lower air intake grille has also been revised, and alloy wheels will be updated to 15-inch for the ICE and 14-inch for the EV. New paint options may also be added to keep the cars looking modern and vibrant.

Interior Gets Smarter

Inside, Tata Motors may introduce minor updates to the dashboard, LCD instrument cluster, and new trim and upholstery options. The 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system is expected to receive software updates for smoother performance, new functions, and apps. A welcome addition could be rear AC vents and USB charging ports for rear passengers, improving comfort for all occupants.

Tiago EV Gets Bigger Battery

No changes are expected to the ICE engine or transmission. However, the Tiago EV could get a new 30 kWh LFP battery, replacing the current 25 kWh unit. This upgrade would extend its range to around 325 km, up from 293 km in the older model. The 19.2 kWh battery may continue to be offered in some trims.

Pricing and Launch

With these cosmetic and technical upgrades, the facelifted Tiago series may see a slight price increase. Currently, the Tiago ICE costs between Rs. 4.60 lakh and Rs. 8.20 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Tiago EV ranges from Rs. 7.99 lakh to Rs. 11.14 lakh (ex-showroom).
