2026 Tata Tiago EV gets fresh styling and connected tail lamps. New EV hatchback now comes with 6 airbags and 360-degree camera. Faster charging and updated cabin improve the overall experience.
Tata Motors has officially launched the 2026 Tata Tiago EV in India at a starting price of Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
The updated electric hatchback gets a refreshed exterior design, a completely revised cabin, more features, improved safety and faster charging capability while continuing with the same battery pack options.
The Tiago EV remains Tata’s most affordable electric car in India and continues to compete against rivals like the MG Comet EV and Citroen eC3.

The new Tiago EV gets several styling updates that make it look more modern and premium than before.
At the front, Tata has added sleek LED headlamps with eyebrow-style LED DRLs along with a redesigned closed-off grille finished in body colour. The bumpers have also been revised with new faux air vents on the edges.
The side profile now gets fresh 15-inch wheel designs along with contrasting black wheel arch cladding.
At the rear, the hatchback receives connected LED tail lamps and a revised bumper design. Other highlights include a black dual-tone roof, shark-fin antenna and chrome-finished door handles.
Tata is offering the Tiago EV in six colours including Dehradun Dew, Sobo Surge, Pangong Pulse, Matheran Monsoon, Pure Grey and Pristine White.
Inside, the 2026 Tiago EV gets a thoroughly updated dual-tone dashboard layout.
The cabin now features a 10.25-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system and a partially digital TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth support. Tata says the hatchback now gets an upgraded electronic and electrical architecture with higher processing capability to support the new features.
The feature list includes connected car technology with more than 40 functions, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, cruise control and rear AC vents.
The hatchback also gets a cooled glovebox, auto-folding ORVMs, height-adjustable driver’s seat, new door pads and a redesigned centre console with dual wireless charging pads.
Tata has also introduced new grey fabric upholstery and a front centre armrest for a more premium feel.
The two-spoke steering wheel has been retained but now carries a new illuminated ‘Tata.ev’ logo.

Safety has seen a major upgrade in the updated Tiago EV.
The electric hatchback now comes with six airbags as standard, replacing the earlier dual-airbag setup.
Other safety features include Electronic Stability Program (ESP), traction control, hill hold assist, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), ABS with EBD and torque vectoring by braking.
The Tiago EV also gets a 360-degree camera with blind-view monitor, making it one of the most feature-rich EVs in its segment.
Additional features include automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers and follow-me-home headlamps. Tata says the structural rigidity of the hatchback has also been improved for better crash protection.
The Tiago EV continues with the same two battery pack options - 19.2 kWh and 24 kWh.
The smaller battery version produces 62 hp and 110 Nm of torque, while the larger battery pack develops 75 hp and 114 Nm.
The claimed MIDC range for the 24 kWh version now stands at 285 km, while the smaller battery version offers a claimed range of 226 km.
Tata’s real-world C75 range figures are claimed to be around 160-170 km for the smaller battery and 205-215 km for the larger pack.
One of the biggest updates on the new Tiago EV is improved charging performance.
Tata says the hatchback can now add 100 km of range in just 18 minutes, making charging nearly 40 percent faster than before.
Both battery packs support DC fast charging, allowing a 10-80 percent charge in around 35 minutes using a 30 kW DC charger.
The Tiago EV also gets four-level regenerative braking along with City and Sport drive modes. Tata claims the 24 kWh version can sprint from 0-60 kph in just 5.7 seconds.
Tata Motors is also offering a lifetime unlimited kilometre warranty on the high-voltage battery pack for the 24 kWh version for the first registered owner. The smaller 19.2 kWh version continues with an 8-year or 1.6 lakh km battery warranty.
