A total of 4 new SUVs will be launched in the country in December 2025. While Kia will launch the second-gen Seltos SUV, Maruti Suzuki will introduce the long-awaited e Vitara. Tata Motors will finally introduce the Harrier and Safari petrol versions in December 2025.
The long-awaited new-gen Kia Seltos will make its global debut on December 10, 2025. Our sources reveal that the SUV will make its debut in India. It is expected to be launched in our market in early 2026. The new-gen Seltos has been spotted testing numerous times on the Indian roads. It will have an all-new design inspired by the Telliuride, which has recently been revealed in a new avatar.
The SUV will have an all-new cabin with a longer list of features. The SUV is likely to get Syros-like connected screen that houses a 12.3-inch digital instrument console, a 12.3-inch infotainment unit and a 5-inch climate control display. The SUV will come with a dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, powered front seats, ventilated front seats, LEVEL 2 ADAS and others.
The new Seltos will initially come with the same set of engines, including a 1.5L NA petrol, a 1.5L turbo petrol and a 1.5L turbo diesel. Both manual and automatic gearbox choices will be on offer.

The long-awaited Maruti Suzuki e Vitara electric SUV will go on sale on December 2, 2025. The electric SUV will take on the likes of the Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra BE 6 and others. It will be offered with two battery choices - 49kWh and 61kWh. The electric SUV will offer a certified range of up to 500km. We expect the new e Vitara to cost somewhere around Rs 18 lakh to Rs 24 lakh.
Tata Motors will finally launch the Harrier and Safari petrol on December 9, 2025. Both models will be powered by a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, direct-injection turbo-petrol engine, which was showcased at Auto Expo 2023. The same powertrain will also power the Sierra ICE, which will arrive on November 25, 2025.
This new direct-injection unit is expected to produce around 170hp and 280Nm of torque. Transmission choices could include a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed torque converter or a 7-speed DCT. The Tata Harrier petrol will take on the likes of the Jeep Compass and MG Hector, while the Safari petrol will rival the Mahindra XUV700 and Hyundai Alcazar.
