Toyota Innova Hycross will now offer a new GX(O) variant Price for this new variant is yet to be announced Likely to offer a range of premium features
Toyota Kirloskar Motors has refreshed its Innova Hycross lineup by adding a new top-spec variant, GX (O) for the petrol model. Although the price for this addition has not been announced yet, it is expected to hit the Indian market in early April.
Compared to the GX variant, the new GX (O) trim will offer LED front fog lamps, automatic climate control, rear window demister, and rear automatic blower control. Other noteworthy equipment will include dual-tone seats, a soft-touch dashboard, and a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system (with wireless Apple CarPlay for the seven-seater).
In addition, it will also provide a rear retractable sunshade (for the seven-seater), front parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera.
Under the hood, the Innova Hycross GX (O) will come equipped with the tried and tested 2.0-litre petrol engine. In terms of performance, it will deliver 173 bhp and 209 Nm of peak torque. Transmission choice includes a CVT automatic gearbox sending power to the front wheels.
Pricing for the GX (O) has not been revealed yet. Considering its additional features compared to the GX, which is priced between Rs 19.77 to Rs 19.82 lakh (ex-showroom), we can expect a hike of about Rs 70,000 for the new variant.
Though it does not have a direct rival, the Innova Hycross competes with three-row SUVs like the Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV700, and MG Hector Plus.
