Two All-New Creta and Sierra Rivals Launching in December & January

Two all-new midsized SUVs are set to be launched in the country in the month of December and January. Kia will launch the second generation Seltos SUV on 10th December 2025, while the new-gen Renault Duster will arrive on January 26, 2026. These two SUVs will directly challenge the dominance of the Hyundai Creta, which is constantly achieving over 15,000 sales per month. Tata Motors has also launched the new Sierra lifestyle SUV to challenge the likes of the Creta, Seltos, Grand Vitara and others in the category. 

Second-gen Kia Seltos

Kia has officially announced that the new-gen Seltos will make its global debut in Korea and India simultaneously in December 10, 2025. The SUV has been caught testing numerous times on the Indian roads. It will receive radical design changes in-line with the new-gen Telluride. The new Seltos will grow in size, and is expected to measure around 4.4-4.5 meters in length.

The new-gen Kia Seltos will come with a more premium and feature-loaded cabin. The dashboard layout is likely to be inspired by the bigger Kia models, including Carnival and EV9. The SUV could get Syros-like connected screen that houses a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, a 5-inch climate control display and a 12.3-inch infotainment unit. The new Seltos will continue to be offered with the 1.5L NA petrol, 1.5L turbo petrol and 1.5L turbo diesel engines. 

2026 Renault Duster

The third-gen Renault Duster will launch in India on January 26, 2026. The SUV will have more premium interiors and new styling along with new underpinnings. The new-gen Duster will be based on the Renault-Nissan Alliance’s CMF-B modular platform, which will also underpin the Nissan Tekton. In terms of features, the new Duster will have a panoramic sunroof, a large touchscreen infotainment unit, digital driver’s display, powered driver’s seat, ventilated front seats, LEVEL 2 ADAS, 360-degree camera and others. 

The SUV will be powered by a 1.3L, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that produces 156bhp and 250Nm of torque. Transmission choices could include a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT. The hybrid version is also under consideration, and could launch by 2027.
