Upcoming Renault Bigster 7-Seater SUV Key Launch, Price and Features Details
Renault 7-seater SUV to launch in early 2027 To get 1.8L strong hybrid engine Based on the RGMP modular platform
French automaker, Renault is preparing to launch three all-new SUVs before the end of 2027. The next big launch from the brand will be the Duster Hybrid, which will go on sale on October 17, 2026. Renault is also preparing a new 3-row SUV and a sub-4 meter SUV based on the Bridger concept. Both SUVs will be launched in the country in 2027. The 7-seater SUV is likely to be inspired by the Bigster SUV on sale in select international markets.
Expected Launch: Early 2027 (around the Bharat Mobility Global Expo)
Competition : the 7-seater derivative of the Duster will directly rival the Hyundai Alcazar, Mahindra XUV 7X0, Tata Safari and MG Hector Plus.
Platform: it will be based on the RGMP (Renault Group Modular Platform) architecture, which is a localised version of the Renault-Nissan alliance's CMF-B modular platform.
Estimated Price Range: Rs 14 lakh to Rs 25 lakh, ex-showroom.
Engine Specifications
The upcoming Renault Bigster will be offered with two engine options, including an 1.8-litre strong hybrid and a 1.3-litre turbo petrol.
Strong Hybrid Engine: 1.8-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine paired with electric motors and a 1.4 kWh battery pack, mated to a multi-mode hybrid gearbox.
Turbo-Petrol Engine: 1.3-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine with potential all-wheel-drive (AWD) options.
Interior, Cabin & Features
Seating Layouts: it is expected to be offered with both 6-seater and 7-seater bench configurations with former having captain seats in the second row.
Infotainment System: it is packed with a dual digital setup, featuring a 10.1-inch central touchscreen and a 10-inch digital instrument console.
Comfort and Convenience: Panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, powered and ventilated front seats, Arkamys sound system and a power tailgate.
Safety & ADAS Tech: it will be equipped with 6 airbags as standard, 360-degree surround view camera, Electronic Stability Program (ESP) with traction control, ABS with EBD, Hill Launch Assist, Hill Descent Control, ABS with EBD and others. The SUV will get LEVEL 2 ADAS suite with features like adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist and others.
