VinFast Auto India has finally started accepting pre-bookings for the upcoming VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs. Interested customers can book these two upcoming EVs online or at authorised VinFast dealership by paying a token amount of Rs 21,000. VinFast recently joined hands with 13 dealer groups to open 32 dealerships across 27 Indian cities, including Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Chennai, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Pune.
VinFast Auto India will first launch the VF7 electric SUV in India during the festive season, most probably around August-September. It will be the brand’s flagship model in India and will be locally assembled at the VinFast’s Tamil Nadu facility.
The VinFast VF7 will initially arrive in a single fully loaded Plus trim. It measures 4,545mm in length and has a crossover-ish design. The electric SUV rides on 19-inch alloy wheels and has a ground clearance of 190mm. The electric SUV has a boot space of 537-litres.
In terms of features, the electric SUV gets LED headlights, a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a heads-up display, a wireless phone charger, ventilated seats and second-row seats with reclining function. The VinFast VF7 is equipped with a LEVEL 2 ADAS tech with features like adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane assist and others. The electric SUV also gets 7 airbags as standard.
It is packed with a 70kWh LFP battery pack with both FWD and AWD drivetrains. VinFast is yet to reveal about which drivetrain will arrive in our market. The electric SUV is compatible with both 7.2kW AC and DC fast charging. It is available in 4 exterior colour choices - Neptune Grey, Brahminy White, Crimson Red and Jet Black.
The VinFast VF6 will be a mid-sized electric SUV, measuring 4,238mm in length. It will rival the likes of the MG ZS EV, Hyundai Creta Electric and Tata Curvv EV. The electric SUV gets split headlamp setup, central touchscreen, a glass roof, ADAS, and ventilated front seats. The electric SUV has a boot space of 423-litres and rides on 18-inch alloy wheels.
It is equipped with a 59.6kWh battery pack with a front-axle-mounted electric motor rated at 204hp. It is claimed to offer a range of 480km on the WLTP cycle. The electric crossover is available in 4 colour choices, including Brahminy White, Jet Black, Crimson Red and Neptune Grey.
