Renault Cars is present in the Indian car market with a very small portfolio of three models. The brand’s cars are split into hatchback, MPV and SUV. The Renault Kwid falls under the hatchback category while the Triber is a 7-seater MPV. The only SUV in its line-up is the Renault Kiger.
Renault Cars price in India start at Rs 4.70 lakh for the base Kwid hatchback and extends up to Rs. 11.23 lakh for the top-spec Kiger CVT. The Renault Triber is the brand’s 3-row versatile MPV, which sits under 4 meters in length. Positioned between the Kwid and Kiger, the Triber is priced between Rs. 6.10 lakh and Rs 8.98 lakh, ex-showroom.
The Renault Kwid is the brand’s entry-level model, which is available in the price bracket of Rs 4.70 lakh to Rs 6.45 lakh, ex-showroom. The Kiger also sits under the 4-meter category and rivals the Hyundai Venue, Maruti Fronx and Kia Sonet. The Renault Kiger is available in the price bracket of Rs 6.10 lakh to Rs 11.23 lakh, ex-showroom.
Renault is planning to launch a wide range of new cars and SUVs in the Indian market. The list of the upcoming Renault cars in India includes the next-gen Duster, a new 7-seater Boreal SUV, a new electric SUV and the facelifts of Triber and Kiger.
The third-generation Renault Duster SUV will launch in India in early 2026. A new 7-seater SUV based on the Duster SUV, called the Renault Boreal, will be launched in our market by mid-2027. Both SUVs are based on the Renault’s CMF-B modular platform and will be powered by a turbocharged petrol engine. The company will introduce a new Duster-based electric SUV in 2027.
The French automaker, Renault’s journey in India began in 2005 through a partnership with the Mahindra & Mahindra group. The first car launched was the Logan back in May 2007. In March 2010, under the Renault-Nissan alliance, a manufacturing facility was inaugurated in Chennai. The launch of the Renault Duster in July 2012, gave a major push to the brand in India. It registered a 160 percent domestic sales growth in December 2015.
