Toyota is currently selling 5 sports utility vehicles (SUVs) in the Indian market. The Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor and Hyryder are based on Suzuki’s HEARTECT and Global C platforms, respectively. The Toyota Fortuner is the most popular SUV from the Japanese car manufacturer in India. The Land Cruiser is the most expensive Toyota car in India, priced between Rs 2.31 crore and Rs 2.41 crore, ex-showroom.
The Toyota Innova is the most popular MPV on sale in the country. The company is selling 4 MPVs in our market, including Rumion (based on Suzuki Ertiga), Innova Crysta, Innova Hycross and the Toyota Vellfire. The Innova Crysta is hugely popular among fleet operators and hotels.

Toyota is preparing to launch multiple new SUVs in the Indian market in the next two years. The company will enter the electric vehicle space with the new Urban Cruiser EV, which was showcased in concept avatar at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo.
Toyota Kirloskar Motors (TKM) was incorporated in 1997 as a joint venture between Toyota Motor Corporation and the Kirloskar Group to manufacture and sell Toyota cars in India. Currently, the Japanese parent company owns a majority stake of 89 percent in this JV. The company operates out of its manufacturing headquarters located in Bidadi, Karnataka.
