2 New Tata Cars Coming Soon – Sierra EV AWD, Tigor Facelift Leaked

Tata Sierra EV gets QWD, over 500km range. 2026 Tata Tigor facelift to receive major updates.

Tata Motors is gearing up to launch two new model in India – the Tata Sierra EV and the new Tata Tigor facelift. The Sierra EV will go on sale with its official price announcement on June 30, while the updated Tigor is likely to arrive in the next couple of months. The carmaker has already released teaser videos of the upcoming electric Sierra, revealing some of its key design details. Meanwhile, design patent images of the facelifted Tiago have surfaced online.

Tata Sierra EV

The latest teaser confirms that the Tata Sierra EV will be available with a QWD (Quad Wheel Drive) system, which comprises two electric motors mounted on each axle. This QWD or AWD drivetrain system will be exclusively offered on higher trims. The Sierra EV is expected to share the 65kWh and 75kWh battery packs with the Tata Harrier EV, and offer a driving range of over 500km on a single charge.

On the exterior, the Tata Sierra EV will feature a closed-off grille, newly-designed aero-optimized alloy wheels, ‘EV’ badges and redesigned bumpers. The interior layout and features are expected to be identical to its ICE counterpart.

New Tata Tigor Facelift

The leaked design patents reveal that the new Tata Tigor facelift will feature a newly-designed grille and slimer headlamps connected by a gloss black trim running across the width of the front fascia. The front bumper will also be revised and feature a wider lower air intake. The updated model lineup could also get a 360-degree camera, as the patent images show a front camera mounted below the Tata logo. Other design highlight might include new alloys, revised rear bumper and taillamp signatures connected by a slim horizontal strip.

Inside, the new 2026 Tata Tigor facelift is expected to receive updates similar to the newly-launched Tiago facelift. The sedan might get a new digital instrument cluster, a larger floating touchscreen infotainment system and a redesigned dashboard. On the feature front, the updated Tigor is likely to receive wireless phone charging, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Type-C charging ports and auto-folding ORVMs. It could also get six airbags as standard.

The powertrain setup is likely to remain unchanged. The new Tigor is expected to be offered with the existing 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engine along with a CNG option. Transmissions choices will also be carried over.
