Force Motors has finally unveiled the Gurkha 5-door in India. Ahead of its official launch scheduled for May first week, the automaker has started accepting bookings for Rs 25,000. Deliveries of the 2024 Gurkha are expected to begin in mid-May.
From the design perspective, the 5-door avatar of the Gurkha gets a single-slat front grille, circular LED headlamps with integrated DRLs, fender-mounted turn indicators and fog lights with cornering function. Other exterior features include a roof rack, 18-inch alloy wheels, blacked-out door handles, vertically-stacked tail-lights, tailgate-mounted spare wheel, and tow hook.
As for the colour choices, customers will have four exterior shades including Red, White, Green, and Black.
The updated Gurkha gets a tilt & telescopic adjustable steering wheel. Additionally, it comes equipped with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto connectivity and a digital instrument cluster.
Under the hood, the Gurkha houses a 2.6-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine. Paired with a 5-speed manual transmission and a shift-on-fly 4x4 system, this engine can generate a maximum power of 138 bhp with 320 Nm of torque.
