After Kushaq, the Skoda Slavia sedan is all set to receive its first ever major facelift. In fact, Skoda has started testing the sedan and the spy images give us a fair idea around the top changes. The sedan comes with significant design and interior changes along with a longer list of features.
In terms of styling, the sedan will receive subtle changes to keep things fresh in the market. Its direct rivals, including the Hyundai Verna and Honda City will also receive mid-life update this year. The front fascia will have an updated LED headlights with integrated lighting elements, revised front grille, and a new lower bumper that houses a larger air dam.
The side profile will look largely identical to the existing model, except for the new set of alloy wheels. At the back, the Slavia sedan facelift will have revised lower bumper, and connected LED tail-lamp unit.
The Slavia sedan facelift will continue to be offered with a dual-tone, black and beige interior scheme. Its dashboard will feature a free-standing touchscreen infotainment unit and a large 10.25-inch digital instrument console.
Rear massaging seats
Dual-colour ambient lighting
10.25-inch digital instrument console
Updated 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with AI assistant
Panoramic sunroof (only top-end)
Single pane sunroof (as standard)
All-wheel disc brakes
Front parking sensors
6 Airbags
Electronic stability control (ESC)
Hill hold assist (HHA)
Rear parking sensors
Tyre pressure monitoring system
Reverse camera
The 2026 Skoda Slavia facelift will continue to be offered with the same 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbo and 1.5-litre turbo petrol engines. While the former is good for 115hp and 178Nm, the 1.5 TSI produces 150 hp and 250 Nm.
The biggest change will come in the form of a new 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, which will replace the current 6-seed unit. While the 1.0 TSI will also get a 6-speed manual gearbox, the 1.5L turbo petrol will only be offered with a 7-speed DCT.
The new Slavia facelift will be launched in the second half of 2026, most probably around Diwali. The sedan will take on the likes of the Hyundai Venue, Volkswagen Virtus and Honda City. It is likely to receive a marginal price hike, and could cost around Rs 12 lakh to Rs 20 lakh.
