7 New Cars Coming to India Soon - SUVs, EVs, CNG MPVs and More
Hyundai Bayon and Tata Safari EV are among the upcoming SUV launches. Mahindra Thar and Honda Elevate will get major updates soon. Renault Triber could get a turbo engine and factory-fitted CNG option.
The Indian car market is set to see several new launches in the coming months. From new SUVs and electric cars to CNG MPVs and facelifted models, carmakers are preparing a wide range of products for the market. Some of these models will arrive during the upcoming festive season, while others are expected to launch towards the end of the year. Here are seven new cars that are expected to arrive in India soon.
1. Hyundai Bayon
Hyundai is preparing to bring the Bayon to India during the upcoming festive season. The new SUV will sit between the Venue and Creta in the company’s line-up and is expected to offer a more premium alternative in the compact SUV space. The India-spec Bayon is expected to get a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. A CNG version has also been reported, which could make the SUV more appealing to customers looking for lower running costs.

2. Tata Safari EV
Tata Motors is also preparing to launch the electric version of the Safari. It will become the brand’s first three-row electric SUV and is expected to arrive around the festive season. The Safari EV will be based on Tata’s Acti.EV+ architecture and could get 65kWh and 75kWh battery options. An all-wheel-drive version is also expected, giving the electric SUV a more capable powertrain setup.
3. Toyota Glanza Facelift
The Toyota Glanza is set to receive a facelift on October 14, 2026. The updated hatchback is expected to get styling changes along with some new features. The facelifted model is likely to continue with a 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine. Toyota could also make changes to the equipment list and cabin to keep the Glanza competitive in the premium hatchback segment.
4. Mahindra Thar Facelift
The Mahindra Thar is also getting an update, with the facelift expected to arrive soon. The updated three-door SUV is likely to receive changes inspired by the larger Thar Roxx. The front-end design is expected to get a revised grille, updated lighting and other styling changes. Mahindra is also expected to add new features inside the cabin while retaining the existing body-on-frame platform and powertrain options.
5. Honda Elevate Facelift
Honda is preparing a facelift for the Elevate, which is expected to arrive in early October. The updated SUV could get revised bumpers, new lighting elements and redesigned alloy wheels. The cabin is also expected to receive feature upgrades, with ventilated seats and a 360-degree camera among the additions that could be offered. The SUV is likely to continue with its 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, paired with manual and CVT gearbox options.

6. Skoda Slavia Facelift
The Skoda Slavia facelift has already been unveiled and is expected to reach dealerships around the festive season. The updated sedan gets several new features, including a 360-degree camera, rear-seat massage function and updated digital displays. The 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine is expected to be paired with an eight-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, while the 1.5-litre TSI continues with the seven-speed DSG automatic.
7. Renault Triber Turbo
Renault is also preparing a turbocharged version of the Triber. The new version is expected to arrive by the end of September and will use the 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine from the Kiger. The engine is expected to produce around 100hp. Renault is also likely to introduce a factory-fitted CNG option, with dual-cylinder technology helping the MPV retain useful boot space.
