Citroen has launched the C3 in the Indian market; Price starts from Rs 5.71 lakh (ex-showroom); Available in two petrol powertrain options, both come equipped with manual transmission only
Almost a fortnight after commencement of bookings, Citroen India has finally launched its second product in India. Dubbed as a hatchback with a twist, prices for the C3 starts from Rs 5.71 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base variant and goes all the way up to Rs 8.05 lakh (ex-showroom) for the fully equipped trim. The car is built with 90 percent localisation at the company’s Thiruvallur plant in Tamil Nadu.
The C3 is available in 6 variants, 5 of which are offered only with the naturally aspirated engine option, while the turbo engine option is only available on the top-of-the-line variant. The base Live trim costs Rs 5.71 lakh, followed by the Feel trim which will set you back by Rs 6.62 lakh (ex-showroom). The 1.2P Turbo Feel Dual Tone Vibe Pack sits at the top of the line-up and is priced at Rs 8.05 lakh (ex-showroom).
The vehicle is offered with two engine options namely, 1.2-litre Puretech 110 & 1.2-litre Puretech 82. As the name suggests, the former is a 3-cylinder turbo-charged unit producing 110 horses and 190 Nm of peak torque while the latter is a less powerful unit with 82 bhp and 115 Nm of torque. The turbo engine option comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission to extract the most power, while the NA engine come with a 5-speed unit.
Citroen is offering the C3 in 10 exterior colour combinations and 3 different packs with 56 customisation options. The standard warranty on C3 is set for 2 years or 40,000 kilometers along with 24/7 Roadside Assistance. Like the larger C5, the C3 will be sold through the company’s La Maison dealership network spread across 19 cities. Along with this, the French carmaker is also providing doorstep delivery in over 90 cities. The deliveries of the hatchback will start from the 20th July 2022.
The Citroen C3 rivals the likes of Tata Punch and Maruti Suzuki Ignis in its segment.
