Hyundai Motor India has finally launched the Exter CNG with dual-cylinder CNG tanks. The Hyundai Exter CNG Duo is available at a starting price of Rs 8.50 lakh (ex-showroom). It is the brand's first model to offer twin-cylinder CNG technology, which is similar to the one offered by Tata Motors.

The Exter CNG Duo is available in 3 variants - S, SX and Knight SX. Th S variant is priced at Rs 8.50 lakh, while the SX costs Rs 9.23 lakh. The Exter Knight SX CNG is priced at Rs 9.38 lakh. All the prices are ex-showroom, Pan India.
The Hyundai Exter CNG Duo directly rivals the Tata Punch CNG, which is also available with twin-cylinder tech. This CNG model offers high fuel efficiency without compromising on the boot space.
This micro SUV is powered by a 1.2-litre Bi-Fuel (Petrol with CNG) engine coupled to a 5-speed manual gearbox. It is claimed to offer an impressive fuel economy of 27.1 km/kg. This Bi-Fuel unit produces 68bhp and 95.2Nm of torque, that's a drop of 14bhp and 18.6Nm compared to the regular petrol model.
The new Exter CNG Duo is equipped with a factory-fitted CNG system with Integrated Electronic Control Unit (ECU) ensuring a seamless drive experience while shifting from petrol to CNG and vice versa. The SUV has a tank capacity of 60-litres.
In terms of features, the micro SUV gets electric sunroof, LED DRLs and LED tail-lamp, automatic AC, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, and others. For safety and security, the SUV gets 6 airbags, TPMS, ESC, hill-start assist control and much more. The new Exter Hy-CNG Duo will be sold alongside the single-cylinder CNG version of the micro SUV.
