Kia is all set up to expand the Carens line-up in April along with the reveal of the facelift version of the MPV. The prices are expected to be revealed by the end of May or June starting. The new Caren will be sold with the current model but positioned higher. Apart from that, the automaker has confirmed that the new version of the MPV will get a new name as a suffix after 'Carens'.
Let's have a closer look at the higher positioning facelift version of the brand's popular MPV.
From the spy shots surfacing on the internet, the new Carens is likely to feature a revised grille design with sleeker LED headlamps. The MPV's bumper design would also be revised for a more modern appearance. On the side, it is expected that the car will get some subtle updates in body likes. Most of the overall silhouette will remain the same.
As for the alloy wheels, fresh changes could be seen along with new color options.
For the interior of the facelift version, an updated dashboard layout is expected with some soft-touch materials. It could offer features like a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a bigger 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, front, and rear ventilated seats, powered seats, dual-zone climate control and a panoramic sunroof.
It is likely that the 2025 Carens would use the same engine options as the current model. The engine is a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine (113 bhp) with a 6-speed manual, a 1.5-liter turbocharged diesel engine (113 bhp) with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission, and a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine with a 6-speed iMT and 7-speed DCT.
The automaker is yet to reveal a confirmed date for the new Kia Carens launch, however, the price introduction is likely to take place somewhere between the end of May or starting of June.
