Honda has three new models lined up for India. The lineup includes an updated SUV, a new EV and a hybrid coupe. All three models are expected to arrive by 2027.
Honda is preparing to introduce three new models in India over the next year. The upcoming launches will cover three different segments, starting with an updated version of the Elevate SUV, followed by Honda's first locally developed electric SUV and the return of the Prelude as a hybrid coupe.
These launches are expected to give Honda a stronger presence in the SUV, electric vehicle and premium car segments.
The Honda Elevate is expected to be the first of the three models to arrive. The facelift will focus on giving the SUV a fresh look with revised bumpers, an updated grille and redesigned lighting elements. The rear is also expected to receive a few cosmetic updates.
Honda is likely to improve the cabin by adding more equipment. Features such as ventilated front seats and a 360-degree camera, currently offered as accessories, are expected to become standard on higher variants. The infotainment system could also receive software and interface improvements.
Under the bonnet, the familiar 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine is expected to continue with both six-speed manual and CVT automatic gearbox options. A hybrid version could also be considered in the future.

Honda's biggest step forward will be the launch of the 0 Alpha electric SUV. The SUV has already been spotted testing in India and is expected to go on sale during the current financial year. Unlike Honda's previous EV offerings, this model will be built on a dedicated electric platform and manufactured locally.
While Honda has not revealed the final specifications, reports suggest the SUV could be offered with a battery pack ranging between 50 kWh and 70 kWh. It is expected to deliver a real-world driving range of around 450 to 500 km.
The 0 Alpha is likely to take on the Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra BE 6 and Maruti Suzuki e Vitara in the fast-growing electric SUV segment.
The third model on Honda's list is the all-new Prelude, which is making a comeback after several years. Unlike the other two models, the Prelude will be sold as a fully imported car and will target buyers looking for a sporty hybrid coupe. Its India launch is expected towards the end of 2026 or in 2027.
The coupe uses a 2.0-litre petrol engine paired with Honda's two-motor hybrid system, producing around 200 hp and 315 Nm. It also gets Honda's S+ Shift technology, which delivers a more engaging driving experience by simulating gear changes.
The new Prelude also benefits from chassis technology inspired by the Civic Type R, although it has been tuned for everyday road use rather than track-focused performance.
