Two popular cars, the Honda Elevate and Toyota Glanza, are set to receive their first major mid-life update in October 2026. While the Elevate facelift will be launched on 6th of October 2026, the Glanza facelift will arrive on October 14, 2026. The Honda’s SUV has already been caught testing multiple times. It will rival the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Victoris, Tata Sierra, Renault Duster, Kia Seltos, Nissan Tekton and Maruti Grand Vitara. The SUV is expected to receive subtle design and interior changes along with a longer list of features. On the other hand, the updated Glanza will get changes similar to the ones offered on the newly launched Maruti Baleno facelift.
Launch Date : October 6, 2026
Engine Choice - 1.5L NA petrol, 6MT and CVT
Competition - Maruti Victoris, Tata Sierra, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and more.
The updated Elevate is expected to receive cosmetic design changes with majority upgrades to its front profile. It is likely to get a revised front grille with less chrome, updated front bumper with revised air intakes, and revised headlamp setup. The SUV is expected to get new set of alloy wheels, revised tail-lights and new rear bumper. The company is also expected to introduce new colour options.
Inside the cabin, the Elevate facelift could get a larger touchscreen infotainment unit, a digital instrument console, an updated ADAS suite, new seat upholstery, ventilated front seats and a 360-degree surround view camera. It is early to comment whether the Elevate facelift will get a panoramic sunroof and a powered driver’s seat. The SUV is likely to be powered by the same 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, NA petrol engine that produces 121hp and 145Nm, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic.
Launch Date : October 14, 2026
Engine Choice - 1.2L NA petrol, 5MT & AMT, CNG
Competition - Tata Altroz, Hyundai i20 and others
Similar to the Baleno, the Toyota Glanza facelift will come with cosmetic design and interior changes along with a new powertrain and a longer list of features. The biggest upgrade will come in the form of LEVEL 2 ADAS, which adds features like Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Auto High Beam Assist. It will also get additional features like like ventilated front seats, a wireless smartphone charger, a 9-inch SmartPlay display, a Head-Up Display (HUD), and a 360-degree surround view camera.
The Glanza facelift will be powered by a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, Z-Series petrol engine that produces 83hp and 112Nm, and is paired to either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. It will also get a factory-fitted CNG option. In the CNG mode, the power and torque output drops to 70hp and 102 Nm, respectively.
