Honda Elevate facelift launching in October 2026 Hyundai to reveal India-spec Bayon Bayon will be first Hyundai above 4m to get a CNG option
October is set to be a massive month for SUV buyers as two exciting SUVs will be introduced in the Indian market. Honda is set to launch the Honda Elevate facelift, while Hyundai is expanding its midsize SUV portfolio by introducing the much-anticipated Hyundai Bayon. Not just these two models, a wide range of new SUVs, including the Tata Safari EV and the Mahindra Thar facelift are also expected to be introduced in October, 2026.
Honda Elevate Facelift
Honda’s midsize SUV is set to receive its first major mid-cycle update to boost sales during the Diwali festival season. The Honda Elevate facelift will receive design and interior changes along with a longer list of features. It is expected to get a bolder front grille, sleeker LED lighting signatures, and new set of alloys.
Inside the cabin, the SUV is likely to get ventilated front seats, an updated 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a new digital driver’s display and refined LEVEL 2 ADAS tech. It will continue to be powered by a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, naturally-aspirated petrol engine that produces 121hp and 145Nm of torque, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic.
Hyundai Bayon
To be positioned between the Venue and the next-gen Creta, the Hyundai Bayon will be the brand’s first SUV above 4 metres in length to offer a factory-fitted CNG option. The new SUV will target buyers who want a distinct, tech-loaded crossover aesthetic. In the new avatar, the SUV is expected to measure close to 4.3 metres in length. Some of the design highlights include high-mounted arrow-shaped LED daytime running lamps, a wide-mesh front grille, boomerang-style LED tail-lights and bold side cladding.
It will get a dual 12.3-inch displays for infotainment and digital instrument console, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging, ambient lighting, Bose sound system, LEVEL 2 ADAS and panoramic sunroof. Codenamed BC4i, the Hyundai is likely to be powered by a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, naturally-aspirated petrol engine that produces 115hp and 144Nm of torque. Transmission choices could include a 6-speed manual and a CVT automatic. The SUV will also receive a CNG option, and could get an underbody CNG tank.
