Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato Revealed Ahead of Launch

Italian supercar brand Lamborghini has just released a set of official images of the Huracan Sterrato ahead of its global debut on 30th November 2022. An off-road version of the Huracan, the Sterrato was first showcased as a concept on June 19, while in 2021 the automaker finally confirmed that it will be going into production.

The Sterrato is based on Lamborghini’s Huracan supercar, but the first thing that you’ll immediately notice is a higher ground clearance compared to the standard model. The front end features new reinforced guards on the bumper and an LED light bar. It loses out on the roof-mounted LED light from the concept but now gets a carbon air intake and roof rails.

There is a new khaki paint scheme for the Sterrato. Lamborghini has given the supercar black body cladding all around, rugged flared fenders, and side skirts. It also rides on all-terrain tyres while the rear bumper features a revised diffuser.

While full specifications will only be revealed at the end of November, it is known that the Sterrato is powered by the same 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10 as the Huracan Evo. The motor produces 640 bhp in that model and sends power to all four wheels via a 7-speed automatic transmission.
It is also expected that the Sterrato will feature rear-wheel-steering like other Huracans and will offer an updated version of the Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata driving mode system that is going to be more effective at low-grip surfaces.

Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato: The Last Hurrah

The Huracan Sterrato, along with the Huracan Tecnica, and Urus Performante, is most likely going to be the last pure ICE-only Lamborghini’s, bringing an end to a nearly seven-decade line.

Next year, Lamborghini will be unveiling the Aventador’s hybrid successor. Officials suggest that while a large and high-revving V12 will power the new car, the new hybrid element will make it significantly more powerful than all previous editions of the Aventador. Even the replacement for the Huracan will be a hybrid.
