Lamborghini has introduced yet another new model in its super SUV line-up called the Urus S. Inclined towards a more luxury lifestyle, the S model works well to diversify the SUVs line-up. The power output of the new model is at par with its performance-oriented sibling, the Urus Performante which was revealed earlier in the year.
The enhancements to the Urus S design adds a hint of sportiness to the SUVs. For instance, the four-wheeler gets a new front bumper with matt black skid plate. The hood is a finished in a new lightweight material along with matt black, gloss black, body colour or carbon fibre air vents. Towards the rear, the new revised bumper design along with a new twin-pipe exhaust design in brushed steel finish complete the look of the SUV. Along with the 21-inch standard rims, we also get optional 22-inch Nath rims with Titanium Matt/ diamond polish finish and 23” Taigete wheels with bronze/ diamond polish.
Inside the cabin, the overall layout continues to remain the same but now features a fully revised upholstery throughout the cabin. The brand claims that the interior options provide optimum opportunities for owners to customise the Urus S according to their lifestyle.
Under the hood, the Urus S gets a familiar 4.0 litre V8 twin-turbo engine pushing out 666 bhp of maximum power and 850 Nm of peak torque. Like the Urus Performante this setup is mated to an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission which transfers the power to all four wheels. The super SUV can do the 0-100 kmph sprint in just 3.5 seconds while topping out at 305 kmph. 0-200 kmph comes in 12.5 seconds and the improved brakes can bring the car from 100 to 0 kmph within 33.7 meters. The exhaust system is retuned to suit the character of Urus S with a more distinct sound at start-up and a sharper note in each drive. It gets 4 drive modes, namely STRADA, SPORT, CORSA (Street, Sport, Track) and EGO, along with three off-road modes TERRA, NEVE and SABBIA (Sand, Snow and Mud).
