Mahindra BE 6e launched at an introductory price of Rs 18.90 lakh It is based on INGLO scalable architecture. Bookings to commence from January 2025 Deliveries from February-March 2025
The much-anticipated Mahindra BE 6e EV SUV has finally been launched at an introductory price tag of Rs 18.90 lakh (ex-showroom India). Not just BE 6e, Mahindra has also introduced the XEV 9e at an aggressive introductory price of Rs 21.90 lakh. Both models debuts the brand's new scalable platform, called INGLO, which is compatible with different body styles and battery packs.
The homegrown brand has only revealed the price of the base variant of the BE 6e, called the Pack One. It is offered with the smaller 59kWh battery pack, but customers will have to pay extra for the charger.
Mahindra will release the prices of higher variants and charger by January 2025. In fact, bookings for the new electric SUV Coupe will commence in the later half of January, while deliveries are being promised from February-March next year.
The electric coupe SUV measures 4371mm in length, 1907mm in width and 1627mm in height. It rides on a long wheelbase of 2775mm, which is big enough to accommodate the bigger XEV 9e EV. In fact, most of the Mahindra future EVs based on INGLO platform will have the same wheelbase. The electric SUV Coupe comes with aero-optimized 19-inch wheels wrapped in 245/55 section tyres. Customers can also opt for the 20-inch wheels shod with 245/50 section tyres.
The Mahindra BE 6e has a ground clearance of 207mm, which is more than sufficient to tackle Indian road conditions. In fact, the SUV has a turning circle of less than 10 metres which makes U-turns easy. It offers a boot space of 455-litres along with an additional frunk space of 45-litres.

The BE 6e electric SUV Coupe looks largely identical to the BE.05 concept that debuted couple of years back. However, the production model has received some changes to become road-legal. It now has conventional outside rear view mirrors instead of cameras on the concept. The electric SUV Coupe comes with sharp design, featuring the brand's new illuminated logo, closed-off front grille, new C-shaped LED daytime running lamps that surrounds the main headlamp unit, and blackened bumper that houses LED fog lamps on either side and silver finish. There is an air duct between the lights that helps in cooling the battery pack.
The front showcases a dual-tone theme with glossy finish for the bumper and closed-off grille; however, it will attract dirt easily compared to the regular rugged black cladding. The electric SUV Coupe has flared wheel arches with thick gloss black cladding. The flush-type door handles are positioned slightly differently compared to the concept. However, the rear passenger door handles are integrated nicely on the C-pillar.
The rear has coupe roofline and a wraparound glasshouse; however, the rear view from inside could be impacted due to smaller glass. It comes with two-part split spoiler and full-width wraparound LED tail-lights. The electric SUV has dual-tone effect at the rear as well. It gets uniquely styled rear bumper that has diffuser-like treatment.

Just the like the exterior, the cabin of the new BE 6e looks largely similar to the concept. The dashboard is designed in a manner to offer a cockpit-like feel. It features a clean and clutter-free dashboard layout, featuring full-width AC vents and dominated by two large screens for infotainment and digital driver's display.
It comes equipped with a 12.3-inch floating type touchscreen infotainment unit and a 12.3-inch digital driver's display; both runs on Mahindra's new MAIA software with more that 30 pre-installed applications. The system runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 processor, and has 24 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. Customers can change the infotainment theme, as it is available in 3 pre-set themes - Calm, Cozy and Club. The signature tunes for the infotainment is curated by none other than AR Rahman.
The electric SUV Coupe comes with augmented reality head-up display, ambient lighting and a huge panoramic sunroof. There is a new two-spoke, flat-bottom steering wheel that houses an illuminated Mahindra logo. The centre console offers a sporty character, featuring an aircraft lever-style drive mode selector, and a rotary dial for the drive modes. It comes with aircraft-style panel on the roof that houses control for lighting and sunroof.

The Mahindra BE 6e comes with features like dual-zone climate control, auto park assist, in-car camera, a Dolby Atmos 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, electrically adjustable driver's seat with memory function, 5G connectivity with in-built Wi-Fi and wireless phone charging. The huge panoramic sunroof has laminated glass, which is claimed to block UV rays. Adding to it, it has an integrated lighting patterns in different colours. The electric SUV Coupe also has BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) feature, which allows user to plug-in external device on the front seat backs and stream different content.
The new BE 6e comes with Level 2+ ADAS (Advanced driver Assistance System), which runs on 5 radar, 12 ultrasonic sensors and 1 camera. The e-SUV comes with 7 airbags, 360-degree surround view camera, and Autopark. The Autopark function has 12 ultrasonic sensors enabling perpendicular, angular & parallel parking along with reverse assist and remote-controlled option. It also has the driver and occupant monitoring system (DOMS) to track driver fatigue. This system also doubles as selfie camera and for video calls.
The electric SUV Coupe is available with two Lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery packs - a 59kWh and a 79kWh. It has BYD's blade cell technology and the powertrain is called 'compact three-in-one powertrain' comprise of an electric motor, an inverter and the transmission.
The 59kWh battery pack with a rear-axle-mounted electric motor produces 228hp, while the 79kWh offers 281hp. The torque output stands at 380Nm. The electric SUV Coupe comes with rear-axle-mounted electric motor. It is claimed to achieve 0-100kmph in just 6.7 seconds. The electric SUV offers three driving modes - Range, Everyday and Race. The electric SUV comes with adjustable regenerative braking, semi-active suspension, all-4 disc brakes and brake-by-wire technology.
Range - the BE 6e with 79kWh battery pack offers an ARAI certified range of 682km, while the smaller 59kWh battery pack is claimed to offer an ARAI-certified range of 535km. The e-SUV also offers fast charging. Using 175kW DC fast charger, the battery can be charged from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes.
As standard, the s-SUV comes with a 11.2kW AC charger that charges the battery from 0-100% in 8 hours for bigger battery and 6 hours for smaller battery pack. A smaller 7.3kWh AC charger is also on offer, which offers 0-100% charging in 11.7 hours and 8.7 hours for 79kWh and 59kWh, respectively.
