Mahindra has launched a new AX5 Select (AX5 S) variant of the XUV700 SUV. This mid-spec variant is positioned between AX3 and AX5. Price for the AX5 Select petrol (MT) starts at Rs 16.89 lakh while its diesel variant costs Rs 17.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
The new mid-spec AX5 Select variant comes in a seven-seat configuration. It offers a range of features comprising dual 10.25-inch displays for infotainment and digital cluster. Other noteworthy features include a Skyroof, an engine start/stop button, wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, Amazon Alexa, AdrenoX Connect, 3rd row AC, ISOFIX, full-sized wheel covers, Arrow-head LED tail lamps, and more.
Under the hood, the XUV700 offers a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 2.2-litre diesel mill. While the turbo-petrol can produce the maximum power of 197 bhp with 380 Nm of peak torque, the diesel unit offers two states of tune - 153 bhp/360Nm and 182 bhp/450 Nm. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
The AX5 Select trim is priced from Rs 16.89 (ex-showroom) for the petrol manual and Rs 18.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the petrol automatic. While its diesel manual is priced at Rs 17.49 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 19.09 lakh (ex-showroom) for the diesel automatic.
