Mahindra has made great waves in the EV market with the previous launches of the BE 6 and XEV 9e. At the Auto Expo 2025, the brand is going to add another model to the new XEV lineup. The electric version of the XUV 700, which is XEV 7e will be debuting tomorrow at the showcase. This model is the production version of the XEV.e8 concept.
Let's go through what you might need to know about the model.
Recently, there have been leaked images and videos of the XEV 7e on the internet. Through that, we can see a noticeable distinction between the XEV 7e from the newly launched XEV 9e, which is going to be its roofline. Yet, the front fascia closely resembles that of the XEV 9e, featuring inverted L-shaped connected LED DRLs and a split headlight setup.
The overall silhouette of the XEV 7e is similar to its ICE with a reworked lower front bumper and aerodynamically designed alloy wheels on the side.
The closed-off front grille stands highlighted by an illuminated Mahindra logo in the middle.
As for the interior of the electric SUV, it is likely to get a black-and-white cabin theme with white seat upholstery. The SUV is expected to offer a 2-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated ‘infinity’ logo as in XEV 9e.
Mahindra could offer the XEV 7e with features such as a triple screen setup (probably a 12.3-inch each) for the driver’s display, infotainment, and passenger-side screen. It could come with multi-zone AC, a premium sound system, powered and ventilated front seats with memory function, and a panoramic sunroof.
The EV is expected to offer a 59 kWh battery pack, and have BYD’s LFP cells for enhanced efficiency and reliability. It can also share the larger 79 kWh battery unit with the XEV 9e and BE 6.
For its battery pack and electric motor, the XEV 7e is likely to range over 500 km on a single full charge.
