Maruti could launch Grand Vitara facelift in 2026 Likely to get ADAS, Dolby Atmos To share features with the Victoris Grand Vitara could get an underbody CNG Tank
Maruti Suzuki has introduced the Victoris mid-sized SUV, which comes equipped with several high-end features. The SUV will be sold through ARENA dealership network, and joins the Grand Vitara in the mid-sized SUV category. It is expected that the Maruti Grand Vitara will also get similar features in near future.
First launched in 2022, the Maruti Grand Vitara has been one of the best-selling SUVs in the country. The SUV holds close to 19% of total sales in its segment, but Hyundai Creta still dominates with close to 30% sales. The Grand Vitara facelift will continue to be sold through NEXA dealership network and will cater to urban customers.

We believe that the Grand Vitara facelift will arrive in our market sometime in 2026, as the current model will soon complete three years in our market. The SUV is likely to be equipped with LEVEL-2 ADAS tech with features like adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane assist, auto high beam and others.
The SUV is likely to get powered tailgate with gesture control, a bigger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display and an 8-speaker Infinity sound system with Dolby Atmos tech for immersive audio experience. Other features could include an 8-way powered driver’s seat, panoramic sunroof and Auto Purify with PM 2.5 display.
Another update could be the inclusion of the underbody CNG tank, as it will free up space in the Grand Vitara’s boot. The existing model is criticised for its segment-lowest boot. The petrol-only model has 373-litres of luggage space, which further drops to 265-litres with a hybrid engine. The CNG version offers a space of around 150-litres, which can only carry your small bag packs. Maruti manages to solve this problem with Victoris that has underbody CNG tank and a boot space of around 330-litres.
The Grand Vitara in facelift avatar will continue to be offered with the existing 1.5L petrol and 1.5L hybrid engine. The petrol version is paired to either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic; latter also gets an AWD drivetrain.
