Maruti XL6 could soon get a fresh new look. More features are expected inside the cabin. Bigger boot space may come to the CNG version.
Maruti Suzuki could soon update the XL6 in India, and the recently teased 2026 Suzuki XL7 facelift gives us a good idea of what to expect. Since the XL6 sold in India and the XL7 sold in Indonesia share many parts, the changes seen on the new XL7 are likely to be introduced on the XL6 as well.
While Maruti Suzuki has not officially confirmed the facelift, the updated XL7 hints at a fresher design, more features and a few practical upgrades for the Indian MPV.
The biggest changes are expected at the front. The new Suzuki XL7 gets a redesigned grille with chrome detailing and black inserts, giving it a bolder look. It also comes with updated headlamps, a new front bumper and redesigned fog lamp housings.
On the sides, the MPV gets a new design for the alloy wheels. At the rear, the smoked LED tail lamps give it a sportier appearance. If these updates come to India, the XL6 will have a more premium look while keeping its familiar shape.

Suzuki has not shown the interior of the facelifted XL7 yet, but reports suggest that it will come with several new features.
The updated XL6 could get a larger touchscreen infotainment system, improved connected car technology, ventilated front seats, a better 360-degree camera and an updated head-up display. More safety features are also expected to be added.
These upgrades will help the XL6 compete better with newer rivals in the segment.
The XL6 facelift is not expected to get any mechanical changes. It will most likely continue with the 1.5-litre K15C petrol engine, which produces 103bhp and 136Nm of torque.
Buyers can expect the same 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox options. The factory-fitted CNG version is also likely to continue.
One useful update could be the introduction of an underfloor CNG tank. Maruti has already used this setup on the Victoris, and it is expected to arrive on the upcoming Brezza facelift as well.
If the XL6 also gets this layout, the CNG version will offer more boot space, making it more practical for family trips.
Maruti Suzuki has not announced a launch date for the XL6 facelift. However, with the Suzuki XL7 facelift set to make its global debut on July 29, 2026, the updated XL6 could arrive in India later this year or sometime in early 2027.
The XL6 currently competes with the Kia Carens Clavis, Toyota Rumion and higher variants of the Maruti Ertiga. A refreshed design and more features should help it stay competitive in the premium MPV segment.
