MG Cyberster has smashed the record as the fastest MG roadster in India for the 0-100 kmph acceleration run at the Sambhar Salt Lake in Rajasthan. The car recorded acceleration in just 3.2 seconds, officially verified by the India Book of Records and the Asia Book of Records.
This electric sportscar was showcased by the automaker at the Auto Expo 2025. It will be the first product to fall under the new "MG Select" sub-brand, with the price announcement soon in March.

The Cyberster is an EV powered by the slimmest 77 kWh battery pack and dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup. This combination delivers 503 bhp and 725 Nm of torque. The car has a 50:50 balance weight distribution between the front and rear for high stability.
The aerodynamic design features a sharply sloping rear roofline with a front double wishbone and rear five-link independent suspension enhancing the overall stability and handling.
The exterior of this sports EV features sleek LED headlights with DRLs, a sculpted bonnet, and a split air intake. The back side features arrow-shaped tail lights and a divided diffuser. The sides of the car have unique scissor doors, sharp cuts, and creased with diamond-cut alloy wheels which are between 19-20 inches.
Inside the cabin, the car comes with three screens including a vertically stacked infotainment system angled towards the driver. As for the features, the Cyberster will be offered with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, in-built 5G, connected car tech, wireless charging, dual-zone climate control, and ventilated seats.
The scissor doors are equipped with radars on both sides, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, multiple airbags, and more.
The price is yet to be revealed by the brand but it is likely that the MG Cyberster will range somewhere between Rs 50 lakhs to Rs 75 lakhs. For this sports EV, there is no direct rival currently in the car market.
It can be said that MG is pushing the EV segment towards a wider high-performing range and luxury.
