We informed you earlier that the 3rd generation Jeep Compass will be launched in the European markets before the end of this year. Ahead of the official launch, the new gen Jeep Compass has been spotted testing on the foreign soil. Interestingly, the spied model is claimed to be the electric version which will join the ICE version.

The next-gen Compass will be based on the STLA Medium Platform and new suspension setup. It will be offered with multiple powertrains options including a pure electric, a mild hybrid and plug-in hybrid. It is expected that the next Compass to receive a 134bhp, 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine coupled to a 28hp, electric motor. The electric version is expected to get the dual-motors AWD setup.
The Compass plug-in hybrid variant is likely to receive all-wheel drive setup with a rear mounted electric motor. Similar to the 2nd gen Compass, the next gen model will retain its off-roading capabilities.
The spy shots further confirms that the new Jeep Compass will have a more rugged, boxy design. It comes with rectangular-shaped headlamps, sharper LED daytime running lamps, squared-off wheel arches and a flat bonnet. It also has a pronounced shoulder line that adds to its rugged look. The SUV has the blacked-out C pillars that gives it a floating roof effect.
The spy image reveals that the new Compass will have the signature 7-slot Jeep's grille, but design engineers could make subtle changes to give it a fresh look. The SUV will have the rounded rear profile with wrap-around LED tail-lights and a more rugged bumper.
While Jeep has not revealed the interiors, we believe the new gen Compass to receive significant changes. The SUV is expected to receive all-new dashboard layout and new central console. It will come with more advanced tech features including a larger touchscreen infotainment unit with better user interface.
Stellantis has already confirmed that the new gen Jeep Compass will have advanced tech upgrades and is expected to receive multiple segment-first features. It will come with LEVEL 2 ADAS suite with features like autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane assist and many more. In terms of features, the next Compass is expected to receive ventilated front seats, powered driver and co-driver seats, a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a 10.25-inch digital driver's display, and many more.
The next-gen Jeep Compass is expected to make global debut in April 2025. It will first go on sale in Europe, followed by American markets. Jeep has no plans to launch the 3rd gen Compass in our market. In fact, Jeep will continue to sell the 2nd gen model which will receive some updates. The company is planning to introduce a new mid-sized SUV, which will sit below the Compass in India.
