Nissan will officially reveal the long-awaited 7-seater MPV in the Indian market tomorrow. It is essentially a new MPV, which will utilise the Renault Triber’s platform and components. However, the new B-MPV will have its own identity with Nissan’s signature design elements. Similar to the Tekton, Nissan could partially reveal the vehicle before an official launch in the Q1, 2026.
The new Nissan B-MPV will have the typical MPV-styling and will share the silhouette with the Triber. The majority of the changes will be made to its front and rear profile. It is expected to get new wheels and lighting package. The new model will sit below the 4 meters in length, and will share the seating layout and features with the Triber.
The new Nissan MPV will be powered by a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, naturally-aspirated petrol engine that produces 71bhp and 96Nm of torque. Transmission choices will include a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT unit. The MPV will also get a dealer-level CNG retrofitment.
To further up the game, Nissan could offer more features inside the cabin. It could share some of the high-end features with the Magnite compact SUV. The MPV is not likely to get the 1.0L turbo petrol engine that powers the Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger.
After this MPV, Nissan will launch the Tekton midsize SUV in our market in 2026. The Nissan Tekton is expected to be fully revealed by April 2026, while launch could take place in Q2, 2026. This SUV will be based on the CMF-B modular platform and is expected to get the 1.3L turbo petrol engine.
