The Tata Nexon CNG is a version that has plenty of exciting elements in store for the Indian auto market. For example, it is the first ever CNG car available in India, where a turbo-petrol engine has been used. Thus, one would find many car-buying customers interested to know whether the CNG Nexon or its Maruti Brezza CNG sibling is more suitable for them.

A 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder turbo-petrol under the skin of the Tata Nexon CNG. And that is pretty good for a car running on CNG with 99bhp and 170Nm of torque. It is mated with a 6-speed manual transmission. Moreover, it boasts Tata's dual-cylinder technology so doesn't skimp on boot space, which stays at 321-litres despite carrying two CNG tanks with a combined capacity of 60 litres. The model can even be started on direct CNG.
The other car on the market is the Maruti Brezza CNG. It is powered by a 1.5-litre K15C petrol engine. While in petrol mode, it churns out a healthy 102bhp and 137Nm of torque. In the CNG mode, it drops to 87bhp and 121Nm of torque. The Brezza gets a 5-speed manual with its CNG variant.

Both the cars have long feature lists, but in between both, the Nexon CNG seems to take the lead from its competitor regarding technological and luxury treatment inside. Its inside contains a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay on offer, along with a 10.25-inch digital driver's display. This car boasts ventilated front seats, automatic climate control, an 8-speaker sound system, and even a panoramic sunroof, the first time such a feature has been seen on a CNG vehicle in India. It also boasts six airbags, a 360-degree camera, and electronic stability control.
Maruti Brezza CNG offered a lot of amenities inside the car, including the new 9-inch SmartPlay Pro infotainment system, a semi-digital instrument cluster, and an electric sunroof. Presently available newly designed CNG includes an integrated fuel lid for both petrol and CNG, dedicated CNG drive mode, and illuminated fuel changeover switches.
Both the Tata Nexon CNG and the Maruti Brezza CNG present enormous options for those looking for CNG cars. The Nexon CNG is especially unique with its turbocharged engine, its more advanced features, and superior boot space. At the same time, the Brezza CNG stands as a testimonial of reliability for performance as well as excellent design. In the end, it all will depend upon individual preferences regarding performance, features, and pricing.
