Nissan Tekton Full Reveal by April 2026 - Top 5 Things You Need to Know

Nissan has finally revealed the name and design of its upcoming C-SUV. Called the Nissan Tekton, the new mid-sized SUV will be fully revealed by April 2026. The company has partially revealed its design, which is claimed to be inspired by the Patrol full-size SUV.

1. Nissan Tekton Launch Details

Nissan will fully reveal the new Tekton mid-sized SUV by April 2026. The SUV will be manufactured at Renault’s Chennai based manufacturing plant for domestic as well as export markets. In the official reveal video, Nissan officials confirmed that the new C-SUV will be launched in the country by mid-2026, around July-August. We will update on the same as soon as Nissan reveals its launch date.

2. Design Details

The new Tekton SUV is based on Renault-Nissan Alliance’s CMF-B modular platform that also underpins the third-gen Renault Duster. This new mid-sized SUV draws design inspiration from the company’s iconic SUV, the Patrol. In an official release, Nissan said, “it will combine a bold aesthetic with robust reliability, premium craftsmanship, and a suite of advanced technology features.”

The front appears largely identical to the Patrol, as it gets a sculpted bonnet and distinctive C-shaped head lamp signature. There is a wider signature grille with two chrome lines running across the width, and Nissan logo in the centre. A connected LED light bar running across the width, while the robust lower bumper with strong cladding offers an imposing presence.

The side profile has a flatter roof with usable roof rails, and horizontal lines on the bonnet. It has smoother surfaces with less creases and curves, while the flared wheel arches offers a commanding road presence. The front doors of the Nissan Tekton has a ‘Double-C’ shaped accent, incorporating a mountain range motif inspired by the Himalayas.

Complementing the front, the rear has the C-shaped tail-lamps connected by a vibrant red illuminated lightbar. The SUV has a strong lower bumper, while the tailgate houses the Tekton nameplate.

3. Interior - Triple-tone finish for Dashboard

Nissan hasn’t revealed the interiors of the Tekton mid-sized SUV, but a teaser image showed triple-tone finish for the dashboard. The dashboard has soft-touch materials, a copper-coloured strip and gloss black finish.

The SUV will borrow its features with the third-gen Renault Duster, which is scheduled to be launched in Q1, 2026. In terms of features, the SUV will have a large touchscreen infotainment unit, a digital driver’s display, powered driver’s seat, ventilated front seats, panoramic sunroof, LEVEL-2 ADAS and others.

4. Petrol-Only Model

Nissan Tekton Nameplate

The new Nissan Tekton is likely to be offered with a 1.3-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine with manual and automatic gearbox choices. Its lower variants could receive a 1.5L NA petrol or a 1.0L, 3-cylinder, turbo petrol engine.

The third-gen Renault Duster will also receive a strong hybrid engine at a later stage. And, the same could be offered with the Tekton. More details on the same will be revealed during its official reveal or Launch.

5. Estimated Price and Competition

Nissan would aim to achieve higher levels of localisation to price the new SUV competitively in the market. We expect the new Nissan Tekton to price somewhere between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 16 lakh, ex-showroom. The SUV will rival the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Victoris and the upcoming Tata Sierra and Renault Duster.
