Renault Bigster 7-seat SUV spotted testing ahead of India launch. Spy shots reveal LED lights, rugged design and ADAS sensors. Bigster will share platform and engines with the new Renault Duster.
Renault is preparing to expand its SUV lineup in India with the upcoming Renault Bigster. The model will be the 7-seat version of the new Renault Duster, offering more space and practicality for family buyers.
With the Duster expected to return to India soon, the larger Bigster is also gaining attention. New details about its design, features, and engines have now emerged, giving a clearer picture of what the SUV could offer.

Renault Bigster 7-seater SUV is expected to feature a bold and modern front design. It will likely get LED headlamps with LED DRLs, giving the SUV a sharp lighting signature.
The front bumper could include a wide air dam and vertical air vents on both sides, which add to its sporty look. The bonnet appears muscular, similar to the upcoming Duster.
Another interesting element is the blanked-off grille area, which may carry the model name across the front, a design approach already seen on the new Duster.
The bumper may also feature a silver skid plate-style finish, enhancing the SUV’s rugged appearance.
New details also hint at Level 2 ADAS features for the Bigster. Sensors visible on the upper section of the windscreen suggest that the SUV may offer advanced driver assistance systems.
These could include features like adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and automatic emergency braking, improving safety and convenience for drivers.
The overall design of the Renault Bigster is expected to stay close to the version revealed internationally.
Unlike the India-spec Duster, which received some design tweaks for the local market, the Bigster may not undergo major visual changes. However, further updates could still appear before its official launch.

Inside, the cabin layout of the Renault Bigster 7-seater SUV is expected to be similar to the Duster. The infotainment display could be slightly angled toward the driver, creating a more driver-focused layout.
The SUV is likely to offer features such as wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a panoramic sunroof.
Other expected features include dual-zone climate control, a wireless phone charger, a powered tailgate, and 6-way powered ventilated front seats.
In terms of safety, the Bigster could also get a 360-degree camera system along with Level 2 ADAS features.
The Renault Bigster will be built on the CMF-B platform, which it shares with the Duster.
However, the Bigster will be significantly larger. It is expected to measure around 4.6 metres in length, making it roughly 300 mm longer than the Duster. This additional length will help accommodate the third row of seats, making it a proper 7-seat SUV.
The Renault Bigster is expected to carry over the same engine options that will be offered with the Duster.
These may include a strong hybrid petrol engine producing around 160 hp and 172 Nm. The lineup could also feature a 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine producing 163 hp and 280 Nm, along with a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine producing 100 hp and 160 Nm.
The turbo petrol engines are likely to come with a 6-speed manual gearbox, while the 1.3-litre unit may also be available with a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Once launched in India, the Renault Bigster 7-seater SUV will compete with models such as the Hyundai Alcazar, MG Hector, Mahindra XUV 7XO, and Tata Safari.
The Bigster is expected to be priced higher than the Duster and could arrive in the Indian market by late 2026 or early 2027.
