Next-Gen Hyundai Creta mid variant spotted testing in South Korea. New Creta could grow in size and shift to the K3 platform. 2027 Hyundai Creta may bring updated design, new tech and more cabin space.
Next-Gen Hyundai Creta is currently under development and test vehicles have been spotted several times in recent months. The latest sighting comes from South Korea, where a Next-Gen Creta mid variant was seen parked inside a parking area with heavy camouflage.
Hyundai is preparing a generational update for its bestselling SUV. The New Creta is expected to bring design updates, a new platform and more interior space when it arrives in the market.

The 2027 Hyundai Creta is likely to introduce a new lighting signature. One of the key highlights could be pixel-style lighting elements, which may appear in the LED daytime running lights.
There are also chances that the SUV could feature a full-width LED light strip at the front, giving it a more modern look. The headlamp position appears similar to the current model, but the internal design seems refreshed.
Changes are also expected around the front grille and bumper, although the heavy camouflage makes it difficult to clearly identify the design details at this stage.

The test vehicle seen in the latest images appears to be a mid variant of the Next-Gen Hyundai Creta. This can be identified by the absence of certain premium features.
For example, the SUV does not have roof rails, which are usually seen on higher variants. The cabin also appears to use fabric seats, suggesting that this is not a top-spec version.
The New Creta gets body-coloured ORVMs with integrated turn indicators. However, there is no camera visible under the mirrors, which indicates that this variant may not come with a 360-degree surround view camera.
The test mule was also seen running on 18-inch wheels with Hankook tyres.
At the rear, the Next-Gen Creta is expected to receive updated connected LED tail lamps. The lighting design at the back could follow a similar theme to the front lighting elements.
The rear bumper also appears to have a new design with horizontally placed reflectors, which could give the 2027 Hyundai Creta a slightly fresher look compared to the current model.

One of the biggest updates for the Next-Gen Hyundai Creta will be the shift to the new K3 platform, replacing the existing K2 architecture.
This new platform is already used in the latest Kia Seltos and offers benefits such as better structural rigidity, improved safety and enhanced driving dynamics.
With this platform change, the New Creta could also grow in size. The SUV’s length may increase from 4,330 mm to around 4,500 mm, making it slightly larger than the current version. For reference, the latest Kia Seltos measures 4,460 mm in length.
A larger body could also help improve cabin space and boot capacity, making the SUV more practical for families.

Inside, the Next-Gen Creta is expected to receive several upgrades. Hyundai may introduce a new steering wheel with the brand’s 4-dot logo, along with larger infotainment screens and a refreshed user interface.
Earlier spy shots have also hinted at features like Boss Mode for rear passengers and adjustable headrests for all three rear seats. Improvements are also expected in the ADAS package and connected car technology.
At the time of launch, the New Creta is expected to continue with the existing engine options. The SUV may offer the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 115 PS, the 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine producing 160 PS, and the 1.5-litre diesel engine producing 116 PS.
Transmission choices are expected to remain similar to the current model, including manual, automatic and DCT options.
Hyundai is also reportedly working on a strong hybrid version of the Creta, which could be introduced later.
The Next-Gen Hyundai Creta is expected to debut later this year or sometime in 2027. Once launched, the 2027 Hyundai Creta will continue to compete in the highly competitive mid-size SUV segment.
