2 New Renault Cars Coming Soon – Alto K10 Rival & Duster Hybrid

2026 Renault Kwid facelift to launch with major design changes. Renault Duster hybrid expected around Diwali with 160bhp strong hybrid.

The new-generation Renault Duster is one of the French carmaker’s most significant product launches this year. The revival of the iconic nameplate seems to be paying off for Renault, with the SUV generating strong volumes. Aiming to further strengthen its presence in the Indian market, the carmaker is set to launch the new Renault Kwid facelift on July 3, followed by the Renault Duster hybrid around the Diwali festive season this year.

Renault Kwid Facelift

The new 2026 Renault Kwid facelift is likely to come with significantly improved styling and interior upgrades inspired by the Dacia Spring EV sold in European market. Spy shots suggest that the updated model will feature revised front and rear bumpers, new Y-shaped LED DRLs (daytime running lamps), newly-designed alloy wheels and Y-shaped taillamps.

Inside the cabin, the new Kwid is likely to feature a larger touchscreen infotainment system (possibly measuring around 10-inch), an updated instrument cluster and a new steering wheel. The dashboard could also be redesigned.

Under the hood, the new 2026 Renault Kwid facelift is likely to retain the existing 1.0L, three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, pushing out power worth 68bhp. Transmission choices might also remain unchanged – a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT.

Renault Duster Hybrid

The Renault Duster hybrid has been sold out for this year even before the official price announcement, and its booking window is currently close. The SUV will feature a 1.8L, four-cylinder petrol engine paired with two electric motors, generating 20bhp and 49bhp. It’s also supported by a 1.4kWh battery pack. This setup delivers a combined output of 160bhp and 172Nm. This strong hybrid powertrain has been developed by Horse and is manufactured at Renault’s Chennai facility.

The overall design and styling, interior and features of the Renault Duster hybrid will be exactly identical to its ICE counterpart. The SUV lineup is currently available with two turbocharged petrol engine options – a 1.0L producing 100bhp and 163bhp, 1.3L generating 163bhp.
