Renault Bridger SUV Confirmed - India Launch by 2028

The French automaker, Renault has revealed a new Bridger Concept SUV, which previews the brand’s upcoming rugged-looking sub-4 meter SUV. To be positioned between the Kiger and new Renault Duster, the Renault Bridger compact SUV will be fully revealed on March 10. Renault has also confirmed that the production-spec SUV will be designed and developed in India. 

Renault Bridger Concept - What to Expect?

Renault has confirmed that the Bridger concept previews the upcoming ‘urban SUV’, which will measure under 4 meters in length. The company claims that the new compact SUV won’t ‘compromise on space’. Going by the teaser, it is visible that the new Bridger SUV will carry a boxy profile with a flatter body and smooth surfaces. There is a tailgate mounted are wheel, which seems inspired by the Land Rover Defender. 

The teaser video also shows an illuminated Renault lettering, which appears similar to the one offered on the international-spec Renault Duster. The new mini Duster is rumoured to be revealed sometime in 2027 and its India launch is expected by 2028. 

The new-gen Bridger is likely to be based on the new Duster’s platform. It is expected to be powered by a new 100hp,  1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that also powers the Kiger. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a CVT automatic.
