Skoda has unveiled its latest electric offering, the Elroq – a compact SUV that blends style, space and sustainability. Launched at €33,000 (about Rs 30.63 lakh), the Elroq is set to make its Indian debut in mid-2025 and expand Skoda’s portfolio in the country.
The distinctive Tech-Deck front look, which replaces the traditional Skoda grille, is a standout feature. Elroq's headlights and taillights are LEDs connected by a glossy black panel. The vehicle's overall shape is aerodynamically optimised, contributing to its efficient performance and long range.

Elroq is available in a range of colours, including Timiano Green, an exclusive colour for this model. The vehicle rides on stylish alloy wheels, ranging from 19 to 21 inches in size. Dimensions are as follows:
Inside, it gets a mix of sustainable materials, including recycled fabrics and fibres, reflecting Skoda's commitment to environmental responsibility. A large 13-inch infotainment screen takes centre stage and sits next to the digital cockpit displaying essential driving information. Further, there’s wireless charging and Android Auto, Apple Carplay and other connected car tech. Skoda will offer a head-up display unit as an optional accessory.

The 470-litre boot space offers ample room for luggage. Numerous storage compartments and pockets throughout the cabin provide convenient storage options for personal belongings. It also features a range of “Simply Clever” features, such as an umbrella holder in the driver's door and a storage net for the charging cable.

Powered by a range of efficient electric motors and batteries, the Elroq offers a choice between three battery sizes: 55kWh, 63kWh and 82kWh. The largest battery option delivers a maximum range of over 560 kilometres on a single charge (WLTP cycle), making it ideal for long journeys. At DC fast-charging stations, the Elroq can be recharged from 10 to 80% in 24 minutes
The Skoda Elroq is expected to be competitively priced, making it an attractive option for Indian consumers looking for a stylish and practical electric SUV. With its combination of features, performance, and sustainability, the Elroq has the potential to make a significant impact in the Indian electric vehicle market. Upon launch, it will compete against the likes of the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV and Tata Curvv EV.
