Will be powered by a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine Likely to offer a large touchscreen infotainment system Will directly compete with Hyundai i20 N Line
Tata Motors is all set to introduce its latest model, the Tata Altroz Racer, in the coming weeks. Initially showcased at the 2023 Delhi Auto Expo, the Altroz Racer returned with modifications at this year's Bharat Mobility Show. Although the company had previously kept its launch plans under wraps, it is now confirmed that the Altroz Racer will soon be available in the Indian market.
The upcoming Altroz Racer will be the sportier version of the Altroz hatchback. From the outside, it will feature a dual-tone colour scheme with racing stripes. Other exterior features will include an updated front grille, 16-inch alloy wheels, and a twin-tip exhaust setup at the rear.
On the inside, it is expected to boast a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It could also offer amenities such as ventilated front seats, voice-assisted sunroof, wireless charging, a Heads Up Display, rear AC vents, and a 360-degree camera.
For safety, the manufacturer might also offer 6 airbags and Electronic Stability Control as standard equipment with the performance based vehicle.
For the upcoming Altroz Racer, the homegrown automaker will offer a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. This engine will be sourced from the Nexon. In terms of power, it will be able to deliver 118 bhp with 170 Nm of peak torque. As for the transmission option, this engine could be paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
Pricing of the Altroz Racer will be decent. However, it will be slightly higher than the regular model. Talking about its rivals, then it will directly compete with the Hyundai i20 N Line.
