The production-ready guise of the Altroz Racer was showcased at the 2024 Bharat Mobility Expo which gave us the idea of most of its new design elements and features. Recently, the model was spotted on roads again, indicating imminent launch. Let’s see what to expect from the upcoming Altroz Racer.

Based on the spy shots, the Racer edition of Altroz looks more sporty than its regular model. It has a dual-tone colour scheme. While the ORVMs, roof, bonnet, and rear spoiler are blacked out, the body panelling features a contrasting bright orange colour. There are also white racing stripes on the bonnet and roof to make it look like a race car.
Inside the car, we get to see red highlights on the dashboard, centre console, and AC vents while the seats feature racing stripes in red & white colours. The front seat headrests get the "Racer" badging too.
Some of the noteworthy features include an electric sunroof with voice assist, ambient lighting, a wireless charger, an air purifier, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a 7-inch TFT digital cluster.
Safety features could include an Electronic Stability Program, Reverse Parking Camera, and 6 airbags.
The new Altroz Racer will be powered by a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine. Mated with a 6-speed manual transmission, the engine can produce the maximum power of 117 bhp and 170 Nm of torque. It is also said that Tata could also introduce a 7-speed DCT transmission for the new Altroz Racer.
Tata is expected to launch the Altroz Racer in May 2024. The price for the Racer edition is likely to start from Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). Upon launch, it will rival the Hyundai i20 N Line.
