Tata Motors recently launched two new variants of Altroz named XM and XM(S). Prices for both premium trims are set at Rs 6.90 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 7.35 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. In addition, the homegrown automaker has added some new features to aforesaid variants such as an electric sunroof. Both trims will be positioned between XE and XM+ trims.
The mid-spec variants; XM and XM(S) are being offered with steering-mounted controls, electrically adjustable & autofold ORVMs, and a height adjustable driver's seat. Additionally, the XM(S) trim provides an electric sunroof, making it an affordable hatchback in the segment. Besides, customers now have the option to upgrade to a larger infotainment system (9-inch) from Tata Motor's accessories catalogue.
Apart from these variants, the automaker is now offering remote keyless entry and four power windows as standard fitment across all manual petrol trims of the Altroz.
New Tata Altroz comes equipped with multiple engine options. These include a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol mill, a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol unit, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. These engine options are mated to a 5-speed manual transmission as standard. However, the naturally-aspirated petrol unit is offered with a 6-speed DCT automatic gearbox.
A CNG version is also available with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated power plant on board that delivers 85 bhp of power with 113 Nm of torque. This particular engine can be found in both the XM and XM(S) trims.
