Tata Motors has released a new promotional film of the much-awaited Tata Curvv EV, which is scheduled to be launched in the country on August 7, 2024. The Curvv's interior appears identical to the Nexon EV, featuring similar features and buttons.
For people not in the Know, the Tata Curvv ICE is based on the Nexon's platform. However, the Curvv EV is designed and developed on Tata's new Acti.ev modular architecture that underpins the Punch.ev. The Tata Curvv EV dashboard layout also shares similarities with the Nexon EV. It sports a large, free-standing touchscreen infotainment unit, which is likely to be around 12.3-inch in size.

It also has the touch-based panel for climate control, which we have seen on the Nexon. Also visible is the trapezoidal-shaped air-con vents, which are placed below the infotainment unit. The other image is of the four-spoke multi-functional steering wheel with the illuminated Tata logo.
There is a 10.25-inch digital instrument console, which we have seen on the Nexon EV. In order to give a fresh feel, Tata Motors has added new silver trims on the dashboard. The Curvv EV will receive rotary drive selector and gear lever. It will also get a wireless charging pad.
The new electric SUV Coupe will be equipped with several segment-first features. It will get a six-way electrically adjustable driver's seat, ventilated front seats, leatherette upholstery and a panoramic sunroof. The rear seats will come with two-step recline function.
The Tata Curvv EV will also receive a powered tailgate with gesture control. It rides on 18-inch alloy wheels, which is also the largest in the category. The Coupe SUV gets flush door handles with puddle lamps, connected car tech, and front and rear 45W Type-C charging ports.
It will get six airbags, front and rear parking sensors, 360-degree surround view camera, electronic parking brake with auto hold function, all 4 disc brakes, ABS with EBD, a driver drowsiness alert system, ESP and traction control.
The new Tata Curvv EV will receive Level 2 ADAS tech with features like adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, forward collision and rear collision warning, traffic sign recognition, high-beam assist, lane assist, blind spot detection, etc. Similar to the Safari and Harrier, the new Tata Curvv EV is expected to score a full 5-star safety rating from GNCAP and BNCAP.
Tata Motors has not revealed the specifications of the electric Curvv SUV Coupe. It is reportedly to receive two battery pack options including a 55kWh and a 40kWh. The bigger battery pack is expected to offer a certified range of up to 600km on a single charge.
