Tata Harrier EV will launch in India on June 3, 2025 Expected to offer over 500km of real-world driving range Features bold styling, AWD capability, and connected tech
Tata Motors has confirmed that the Harrier EV will launch in India on June 3, 2025. This comes a few months after the company revealed the final version at the 2025 Auto Expo. Since then, Tata has been teasing the SUV’s design and features—and now, it’s ready for its official debut.
Tata Harrier EV looks very similar to the diesel Harrier, but with a few key changes. It has:
- Connected LED DRLs and vertically stacked headlights
- A sealed-off grille for better aerodynamics
- Chrome-trimmed front bumper (like on the Tata Curvv EV)
- Stylish turbine-blade alloy wheels (likely 17 to 19 inches)
- Connected tail-lights, silver body cladding, and ‘.EV’ badges
The floating roof design, blacked-out pillars, and muscular stance give the SUV a bold and modern look.
Tata shared a teaser of the Harrier EV’s interior in March. It keeps the same layout as the regular Harrier, including:
- Two-tone dashboard
- Floating touchscreen
- Digital instrument cluster
- Four-spoke steering wheel
- Electronic parking brake and rotary drive mode dial
It will also offer connected car features, over-the-air updates, and new terrain modes.
The Harrier EV is built on Tata’s updated Acti.ev (Gen 2) platform, based on the original Harrier’s Omega base but reworked for electric performance. Instead of using a complex rear driveshaft like in diesel AWD cars, the EV gets a rear-mounted electric motor to offer all-wheel drive.
