Tata Punch Achieved 4 Lakh Sales in Just 34 Months

Tata Motors has announced that the Punch micro-SUV has achieved a remarkable milestone in July 2024. Since its launch in October 2021, the Punch quickly gained popularity due to its compact size, range of smart features, and fuel efficiency. It has even scored a 5-star safety rating on crash tests. Within just 34 months, the micro SUV has crossed 4 lakh sales units, becoming the fastest among SUVs to reach this significant milestone.

Tata Punch Sales Journey

In the first 10 months of its launch in 2021, Tata sold 1 lakh units of Punch. In the next 9 months, the sales doubled to 2 lakh units. Later the company marked the record of 3 lakh sales units by December 2023. Now, Tata Punch has crossed 4 lakh units in July 2024.

According to the latest FY2024 sales report, the Punch petrol recorded 53 percent of sales while the CNG and EV models contributed 33 per cent and 14 percent, respectively.

Specifications

Tata Punch is available with multiple powertrains including petrol, CNG, and electric. The SUV is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine, paired with a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox. The CNG model is only offered with a manual gearbox, featuring the dual-cylinder setup. Meanwhile, its EV comes with two battery packs - 25kWh for the base model and 35kWh for the Long Range.
