The long-awaited Tata Sierra lifestyle SUV will finally go on sale in our market tomorrow. Tata Motors has already revealed the exterior and interior of the new Sierra, but engine specifications and variant details will be out tomorrow. It will be positioned between the Curvv and Harrier in Tata’s line-up, and will rival the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and others in the midsize SUV category.

Tata Motors will aim to price the Sierra lifestyle SUV aggressively, as it will come with NA petrol, turbo petrol and turbo diesel engines. The naturally-aspirated petrol engine will allow the homegrown automaker to achieve competitive pricing.
We expect the new Tata Sierra to price somewhere around Rs 11 lakh to Rs 20 lakh. Marketed as a lifestyle SUV, the new Sierra will come as a premium alternative to the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Victoris, Honda Elevate and others in the segment.
The new Tata Sierra lifestyle SUV will be offered with 3 engine choices, including a 1.5L NA petrol, a 1.5L turbo petrol and a 1.5L turbo diesel. The NA petrol engine is based on the new 1.5L direct injection turbo petrol engine, which was first revealed at the 2023 Auto Expo. The 1.5L naturally-aspirated engine is likely to produce around 120hp and 140Nm of torque.
The 1.5L turbo petrol engine is capable of producing 170hp and 280Nm of torque. In fact, the Sierra turbo will be the most powerful SUV in its category. The diesel version is most likely to get the 1.5L turbo unit that powers the Nexon and Curvv. This engine produces 118hp and 260Nm of torque. Both manual and automatic gearbox options will be on offer.

The new Tata Sierra will be the first model in the midsize SUV category to feature a triple screen dashboard. However, this setup is exclusive to the top-spec variant. The lower variants will be offered with dual-screen setup.
In terms of features, the SUV gets a panoramic sunroof, powered driver’s seat with 3 memory function, ventilated front seats, Bose mode, Harman Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmos, HUD, powered tailgate and automatic climate control.
