Tata Motors will announce the prices of the much-anticipated Sierra lifestyle SUV on November 25, 2025. It will be marketed as a lifestyle SUV, and will slot right between the Curvv and Harrier. Measuring around 4.3-4.4 meters in length, the new Tata Sierra will be a direct rival to the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Victoris and others in the category. In order to make it a huge success, Tata Motors has added all the premium and luxurious features available in its direct rivals. Moreover, it will be the most powerful SUV in its category.

The new Sierra will mark the debut of new 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, direct-injection turbo petrol engine, which was first showcased at 2023 Auto Expo. This engine is reportedly to offer 170hp and 280Nm of torque, which makes it the most powerful in the segment. Both manual and automatic gearbox options will be on offer.
The Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos are powered by the 160hp, 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine, while the VW Taigun and Skoda Kushaq are equipped with hugely popular 1.5L TSI engine that offers 150hp. In fact, the upcoming Renault Duster will get the 156hp, 1.3L turbo petrol engine.

The new Sierra will also get a new 1.5L, 4-cylinder, naturally-aspirated petrol engine, which is likely to produce around 120hp and 140Nm of torque. This powertrain will be offered on the lower-spec variants of the Sierra SUV. It will rival the Hyundai Creta 1.5L, Kia Seltos 1.5L, Maruti Grand Vitara/Victoris and the Honda Elevate.
The SUV will also get the 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, diesel engine that powers the Nexon and Curvv. This engine is capable of producing 116bhp of power and 260Nm of torque. Transmission options could include a 6-speed manual or a dual-clutch automatic unit.
Tata Motors will aim to price the new Sierra competitively in the market. We expect the new SUV to price around Rs 11 lakh to Rs 20 lakh, ex-showroom. It will directly rival the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara and others in the category.
